The First Aid Squad building is full of history, just like our organization. The building is located at 528 Newark Pompton Turnpike, in Pompton Plains, NJ; right behind the Town Hall building. The squad dealt with a rather small building up until 2002 when a new garage and second floor was added. Previously, our garage was extremely small and as the standard ambulance size grew, so did our need for a bigger building. The addition also gave us the ability to have a rather large crew area, including bunk room and crew office.

Although the 2002 construction added a significant amount of space to our building, the older part was left untouched. The area was left dark and old and did not allow the squad to easily host training classes. In 2008 the squad renovated the lower portion of the building. A state of the art training/meeting room was added, administrative and operational offices added as well as a full commercial kitchen. The goal of the renovation was to entice members to our organization with a building that feels just like home.
